INFO ABOUT THE COMPETITION, JUDGES & SUPERVISOR

• SCTC 2023 – 7 categories: Tango de Pista, (NEW) Pro-Am Tango de Pista, Milonga, Vals, Senior Tango, Escenario, and Jack & Jill.
• SCTC 2023 Championship is supervised by Danilo Maddalena, the organizer of the Official European Tango Championship.
• SCTC 2023 Championship is coordinated by Amanda Di Garli.

The 6 Judges for all competitions are:

IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT SPECTATING AND TABLE RESERVATIONS:

• SPECTATOR PASS (to watch the competition only) does not include the milonga. You must leave a form of identification (i.e. state ID, credit card) at registration which will be returned when you leave the milonga. We ask this to make sure that those attending the milonga have registered for it.
  Spectator passes are $25 and will be available for purchase AT THE DOOR ONLY.

• For those who have table reservations, you can claim your table as you walk in to watch the competition and enjoy your evening from early on. if you do not arrive by the start of the competition (Fri-Sun), we cannot guarantee that you will be seated at your table until the start of the milonga (9:00PM)

Friday (Mar 10th)

• 3:15pm – 4:00pm –  Rehearsal with the competition coordinator
• 4:00pm – Doors open for spectators
• 4:15pm – 8:15pm – Competition – QUALIFYING ROUND

• 4:15pm – Doors open for spectators

NOTE: Spectators will vote their favorite couple for “Audience Choice Award”

• 4:30pm – 7:30pm – Competition – FINALS (Spectators will vote for the Audience Choice Award)

• 8:00pm – 8:30pm – “Award Ceremony” with maestros/judges and the competition supervisor!
• Inviting all the finalists to the stage, announcing winners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, awarding trophies & prizes!
• 8:30pm – 9:00pm – Victory group dance by J&J, Senior, Audience favorite couple and Pro-Am tango de pista champions, Victory Solo Dance by Milonga, Vals, Tango de Pista and Escenario Champions!
• 9:00pm – 3:00am – Milonga “Grease Prom Night”
